PROGRAMS

Food Security

In agricultural regions like Al Ghaweet Valley, the program promotes agro-ecological practices to protect farmers’ land from confiscation while increasing production. It also strengthens the rural economy in Jenin Governorate, focusing on Zababdeh, Marj Ibn Amer villages, Arabeh, Jenin city, and Burquin town. Their initiatives further support local markets by facilitating food access rights throughout these communities.

Humanitarian

This program supports both people with disabilities and the elderly through specialized facilities offering comprehensive therapy services, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, sensory rooms, education, speech therapy, and vocational training. While promoting community awareness about disability rights and social integration, Caritas Jerusalem also runs an elderly day care center in Ramallah providing physical and psychosocial support in a welcoming social environment.

Health and Emergency

Caritas Jerusalem has two medical points operating in Gaza and in Taybeh. The project improves quality care across multiple specialties, including general medicine, women’s health, orthopedics, chronic diseases, dermatology, pediatrics, physiotherapy, and sensory services. Also, Caritas Jerusalem intervenes in times of conflicts and crises with emergency appeals, Rapid Responses and Post War Projects offering Primary Health Care (PHC) services, Emergency Intervention and Post-Conflict Recovery.

Livelihood

This project aims to boost local economic development and food security in West Bank & East Jerusalem by supporting families, prioritizing women and youth. Participants, in some cases, receive individual micro grants to start or grow their micro businesses. Caritas Jerusalem also has a vocational training center in Ramallah, helping beneficiaries to become more self-sufficient to contribute to their communities.
