Offering free medical care to street children and indigent populations, Caritas Djibouti’s infirmary addresses urgent health needs and arranges external treatment for severe cases. This initiative serves those who lack access to the regular healthcare system.

Caritas Djibouti supports education through LEC centers in missions across the country and community schools. The program offers foundational literacy and numeracy to children and adolescents who otherwise lack access to formal education.

Humanitarian

This flagship project provides street children with food, medical care, hygiene support, education, and human formation in a safe and peaceful environment. The goal is to
reintegrate these children into society and their families.

Emegency Response

In 2012, Caritas Djibouti launched a program focused on helping communities most impacted by drought conditions. The initiative provides sustainable water solutions by constructing wells and cisterns, while also offering training in water management practices. The organization’s emergency response capabilities were demonstrated in 2018 when it partnered with government authorities and UN agencies to deliver critical food aid to more than 15,000 vulnerable people in the aftermath of a devastating cyclone, highlighting Caritas Djibouti effectiveness in crisis situations.
