Physical / Mental Health

Caritas Iraq prioritizes healthcare by offering free medical services to economically disadvantaged families. The program operates a center providing six specialized medical services under expert medical supervision. Additionally, it extends both financial and emotional support to violence victims and collaborates with humanitarian organizations, elderly care homes, and orphanages.

Social Cohesion

The overarching purpose is to facilitate interactions between different groups and strengthen community leaders’ abilities to foster social unity. These activities include developing leadership skills for conflict resolution, creating connections between diverse community groups, enhancing life skills, initiating community service projects, and organizing day camps.

Education

The program currently operates in Baghdad and Fallujah, it aims to enhance the capabilities of educational staff by actively involving parents in the learning process. It prioritizes children’s protection and social-emotional development through engaging entertainment, art, and sports activities.

Supporting people with special need

Since 2005, this program has been dedicated to supporting individuals with special needs by providing comprehensive training for children, their mothers, and family members on effectively managing special needs. The program operates a rehabilitation center in Baghdad that specializes in supporting these individuals. One of its key achievements is successfully integrating children with special needs into mainstream educational settings.

Livelihood

Implemented through the Horizon and Al Anbar projects, the initiatives provide moral support, social services, and livelihood opportunities for women, children, teenagers, and the elderly, addressing critical needs such as trauma recovery, case management, and economic empowerment through specialized interventions.
